Church Meeting: There will be a church meeting on December 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to vote on the bylaws. Graduation Invitation: Rev. Roderick C. Dickerson would like to invite those who would be interested in attending his Graduation for which he will be receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies. Here's the info: Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Schaver Music Recital Hall, which is located at Wayne State University, Old Main, 480 W. Hancock Street, Detroit, MI 48201. 2024 Officers Elections: Attention all Ministries and Committees, all 2024 elections should be held no later than Sunday, December 8, 2024. Your spiritual advisor must be present during the election. If you do not have or know the deacon assigned, please call the church office. ALL SLATES MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CHURCH EMAIL [email protected] NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2024. Meetings and Event Dates: Attention all Ministries and Committees, please submit your meeting dates and event dates for 2025 no later than December 15, 2024. Remember the church will be closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Exceptions are for funerals and special events. An Event Request Form must be completed and approved in advance for all events. Event dates are not confirmed until the Event Request Form has been approved. A Christmas to Remember: The Unity Baptist Church’s annual Christmas Celebration will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. following the 11:00 a.m. service. The venue this year will be The Henry Hotel, located at 300 Town Center Drive, Dearborn, Michigan. The Banquet will be in the beautiful Presidential Ballroom. Tickets are available in the Administrative Office both before and after the 11:00 a.m. service. Please see Sister Gwen Criss or Sister Theresa Love. Donations are $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for children under 12 years old. Thank you, Joint Boards Youth Christmas Fellowship: On December 21, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Valmon D. Stotts Fellowship Hall, there will be a Christmas Celebration for all youth that are a part of Unity Baptist Church. More information will be announced at a later time, but please save the date! Nursery: The Nursery is open! Bring your children down from Ages: Infant to 5 years old. Anyone interested in working with our precious little ones, please see Sister Mary Echols. Thank you for your support. Sister Mary Echols, President Help Wanted: Children's Church will be closed on third Sundays until we have available staff members. Children's Church is looking for adult volunteers. Are you willing to serve one Sunday out of the month? We need adults who are willing to: teach a lesson, assist in teaching a lesson, register children, run game time, lead song service, or prepare snacks.
