All elections should be held no later than Sunday, December 21, 2025. Your spiritual advisor must be present during the election. Sunday School Christmas Program: Once again the Annual Sunday School Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. If you would like your child to participate with a recitation, please see Sister Nina Lindsey and Sister Helen Adams after Sunday School, downstairs in room 16 on the following Sundays: November 16th, 23rd, 30th and December 7th. Thank you, Junior Sunday School Department Brotherhood Meeting: Attention Unity Brotherhood Ministry members, a very important meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. There will be election of officers and major discussion on our Marquee Sign project. It is important that you attend this meeting, so we can keep up with the pledge sheets and continue to push toward our goal. Also, we are asking for volunteers to help serve on Saturday, November 22, 2025 for the 100th Anniversary Kick-Off Prayer Brunch. Thank you, Brother Paul D. Bowen, President 100th Anniversary Kick-Off Prayer Brunch: The Prayer Brunch will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Stotts Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $25.00 (adults) and $10.00 (children 5-10 years old). Tickets will be on sale after service in the Administrative Office. Flyers are available in the vestibule. School Supplies: The Sisterhood Ministry of Unity will be collecting school supplies for our neighboring school from now until the end of the year. Please support our children and their families by donating items, such as: Kleenex, Hand Sanitizer, Paper Towels, Clorox Wipes, Clorox Sprays, Laundry Detergent, etc. Donation boxes will be located in the Administrative Office. If you have questions, contact Sister Jacqueline Bell, Children’s Church Director at (313) 570-1265. 100th Anniversary Souvenir Book: A commemorative limited-edition souvenir book will be available for purchase to celebrate the historic 100th anniversary of Unity Baptist Church in 2026! A representative from the committee will be available in the administrative office after service to distribute the forms so members and businesses will be able to place an advertisement, memorial tribute or family tribute in the book. Trustee Jonas Hill, Chairman, 100th Anniversary Souvenir Book Committee Filming Interviews: Rev. Dickerson will be filming interviews on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays after church in the choir room for the 100-year Anniversary Promo and possible short film documentary. You may contact Rev. Dickerson to schedule your interview at (313) 419-2544. Ballroom Exercise Class: All are welcome to attend classes every Monday at 6:00 p.m. for beginners and 7:00 p.m. for intermediate students. Mrs. Stephanie Coney from London Consulting Firm will be giving away gift cards and giveaways each week. Classes are held on the lower level on the Children’s Church side.
