January 4, 2026Meetings and Event Dates: Attention all Ministries and Committees, please submit your meeting dates and event dates for 2026. An Event Request Form must be completed and approved in advance for all events. Event dates are not confirmed until the Event Request Form has been approved.

The Children’s Church staff and children would like to thank all that gave so generously to our endeavor to bless the children of our church with Christmas gifts, fun, food and the joy in knowing someone cares. The Giving Tree was a great success. Gratefully, Sister Jacqueline Bell Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education (MEDCCE): We are hosting MEDCCE here at Unity Baptist Church starting this upcoming Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The following dates are February 14th, March 14th (African- American Luncheon), and April 11th. The classes will enrich your biblical knowledge. There is no cost to Unity members. The classes meet every second Saturday of the month. Contact Sister Valerie E. Morgan for more information on classes offered and to purchase tickets for the luncheon. New Church Hours: Effective beginning the week of January 4, 2026, Unity Baptist Church will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The church will be open on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Exceptions are for youth choir rehearsals, funerals and weddings. Dickerson with be filming a scene for the upcoming movie entitled "Noize Of Joy The Movie.” We’re asking everyone who can to stay after church to serve as the congregation extras. Roderick Dickerson, Associate Minister Commemorative Coffee Mugs: The 100th Anniversary Kick-off Prayer Brunch Committee are still selling beautiful 100th Anniversary Coffee Mugs for $16.00 featuring pictures of the former and current church buildings. If interested, stop by the Administrative Office before or after service. Payment is due when placing an order. Church Picnic 100th Anniversary Celebration: Fundraising picnic t-shirt orders are being taken. See any Picnic Committee member. For more information, contact Sister Genevieve Douglas, Picnic Chair. Filming Interviews: Rev. Dickerson will be filming interviews on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays after church in the choir room for the 100-year Anniversary Promo and possible short film documentary. You may contact Rev. Dickerson to schedule your interview. 100th Anniversary Souvenir Book: A commemorative limited-edition souvenir book will be available for purchase to celebrate the historic 100th anniversary of Unity Baptist Church in 2026! Forms are available in the Administrative Office so members and businesses will be able to place an advertisement, memorial tribute or family tribute in the book. Trustee Jonas Hill, Chairman, 100th Anniversary Souvenir Book Committee School Supplies: The Sisterhood Ministry of Unity will be collecting school supplies for our neighboring school from now until the end of the year. Please support our children and their families by donating items, such as: Kleenex, Hand Sanitizer, Paper Towels, Clorox Wipes, Clorox Sprays, Laundry Detergent, etc. Donation boxes will be located in the Administrative Office.
