First Lady Jacqueline Warfield, a native of Detroit, was born the youngest of twelve (12) children. She successfully progressed through the Detroit Public School System, attending Jones Elementary, Whitney Young, and Kettering High School. First Lady Warfield was a member of the National Honor Society and received numerous scholarships to further her education.
First Lady Warfield attended Zion Hope M.B.C. and accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of twelve under the late, Rev. P.M. Martin. She was an active member of the Choir and the Young Adult Usher Board which she along with other young adults helped to organize. After marrying in 1992, First Lady Warfield moved her membership to Unity Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Valmon D. Stotts. First Lady Warfield was an active member of the Adult Usher Board and worked with the Nursery and Children’s Ministry. Later in 2005, First Lady Warfield served as First Lady at Mt Vernon M.B.C. where her husband, would accept his calling as Pastor. First Lady Warfield was active as the Youth Director and organized the Women of Wisdom (Mother’s Board).
In June 1987, First Lady Warfield graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work. In 1989 she began her career with the State of Michigan, Department of Social Services- Child & Family Division. While working full time and caring for her family, First Lady Warfield returned to school and obtained her Master of Social Work degree in 2001 from Wayne State University. First Lady Warfield worked both in the field and in Management for 30 years. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her commitment and dedication to the children and families she has served throughout her tenure.
First Lady Warfield believes family is the most important institution God Created and cherishes each moment with her husband, Pastor Jerome L. Warfield Sr., daughter, Jessica and sons, Jerome Jr., and Justin. She says that her faith in God and His promises has and continues to sustain her through difficult and challenging times.
